Frequently asked questions

Everything hosts and guests ask before their event. Still curious? Reach out anytime.

How do I collect guest photos at a wedding without an app?

Print a Capsulify QR code on your table tents or welcome sign. Guests scan it with their phone camera and it opens instantly — no app to download and no account. They add their name, then snap photos, record short videos, or leave a voice message, and everything appears in your shared gallery and on the reception screen right away.

Do guests need to download an app or create an account?

No. Guests just scan the QR code and it opens in their phone's browser. They add their name so everyone knows whose photos are whose — but there's no login, no password, and nothing to install.

How much does Capsulify cost?

Events are free for up to 10 guests — each guest gets 10 photos, and can unlock more for $1.99 (20 photos + a voice note) or $2.99 (20 photos, a voice note, and three videos). Hosting a bigger event? Pick a one-time capacity tier by guest count — $4.99 up to 25 guests, $9.99 up to 50, $24.99 up to 100, $49.99 up to 150, $69.99 up to 200, or $99.99 up to 300 (301+ contact us). You choose how many photos each guest gets (10 to 75), moderation is included free, and you can add video messages, a voice guestbook, high-quality originals, or extended preservation.

Can guests upload videos and voice messages, not just photos?

Yes. Capsulify supports photos, a voice guestbook (up to three minutes), and premium video clips up to 60 seconds. Video and voice can be enabled by the host or unlocked by guests through a small upgrade.

How do the photos show up on the TV at the reception?

Capsulify includes a "VibeCast" display mode. Open the VibeCast link on any smart TV, laptop, or projector and it shows a live, auto-rotating slideshow of approved guest photos, refreshing every few seconds.

Is there a way to approve photos before they appear publicly?

Yes — moderation is included free. Turn on approval and every photo waits for your review in the dashboard (or hand the private screen link to a helper who can approve too). Photos only appear in the gallery and on the big screen once approved.

What happens to the photos after the event?

Every gallery is kept for 60 days by default. Add extended preservation to keep all media — photos, video, and voice notes — for 120 days. You can download the full-resolution originals (with that add-on) any time before the gallery expires and is automatically removed.
